"LA POLITESSE DU DESESPOIR" (2009)

 

EXHIBITION @ KONSCHTHAUS BEIM ENGEL - LUX

 

This exhibition thematised different factors that influence our daily life and our self-awareness: MONEY, EDUCATION, RELIGION, the FASHION - and the FOOD INDUSTRY, GOSSIP, HISTORY, SEX, the PRESS, the INTERNET,... Each room focused on a specific factor, while all were related to another.

 

i.e.: While the guests of the opening were cutting and eating bacon from a humanlike sacrified pig-man sculpture, an abandoned child in the second room (imprisonned in a dog toilet) was watching the scene on a TV, unable to switch the channel and asking help to a weatherfroggish Jesus, taking a break in his glass cell.
