video / sound installation and optical theater

- a tribute to Boris Vian -

@  (CUEVA's Aal Esch, Esch/Alzette, LUX)

Je voudrais pas crever is a poem by the french poet and musician Boris Vian (1920-1959). On the occasion of his 60th death-day, the installation features an appropriation and adaptation of a spoken version (with a minimalistic musical background) by Jean-Louis Trintignant from 2011. The overlapping of 3 delayed versions of that recording, strangely gave birth to a new sound or musical partition. The ghostly echoes of the words transpose the work in a more abstract soundscape... by focusing on the lyrics, one will discover an inspiring and timeless poem.
